have you ever wondered how websites/internet works(E.g Google.com,Youtube.com)?
well, believe me you've come to the right place.
web development is one of the skills and Art I personally think both young & old people should grasp. Because, i personally believe that the internet is the greatest invention made by man.

so,everyone should learn how it works.

web development starts and end with lines of codes.

in this post am going to give you the ultimate guide on programming language you should learn for one to master the art of web development.

and believe me: web development is not rocket science, it is not as difficult as most people think it is due to their (mis)understanding or possibly misinformation of how the internet actually works.

who knows, you might just end up being the next mark zuckerberg

1.HTML

HTML is every beginner's introduction to web development;

it defines the content of your webpage. From links, to paragraphs, to headings, e.t.c.

and what makes it very fascinating is the fact that it is the simplest programming language in the world!

It is so simple that sometimes I forget to count it amongst the web programming languages

HTML is an acronym for HypertextText Markup Language.

CSS

Welcome to the awesome world of css!

CSS stands for Cascadding Style Sheet.

It is used to determine the look or styling of your page contents;

from color,to background color,to font styles e.t.c

Its IMPOSSIBLE!to survive in the web development business without good/proper understanding of how css works as a web developer.

JavaScript

JavaScript is a client-side scripting language.

it is in-fact the most popular programming language in the world!

it derives most of its notations from java programming language.

JavaScript tends to improve/increase the level of interactivity between the user and the client(browser).

Believe me,JavaScript is one of the most useful(if not the most useful) programming language(s) used to manipulate the content of the html document with high level of performance and functionality.

4.JSON

Json(pronounced:jasin;) is a. Lightweight data interchange format.

Json is language independent(I.e it can be used for any programming language).

And aswell a "self-describing" and easy to understand.

JSON uses JavaScript syntax, but the JSON format is text only.

With JSON text can be read and used as a data format by any programming language.

JSON is an acronym for JavascriptOjectNotation.

5.XML

XML stands for Extensible Markup Language

XML was designed to store and transport data

XML was designed to be both human and machine readable0.

XML plays an important role in many IT systems.

for this reason,it is important for all software developers to have a good understanding of XML.

6.AJAX

AJAX is about updating parts of a web page without reloading the whole page.
AJAX = Asynchronous JavaScript and XML.

AJAX is a misleading name. You don't have to understand XML to use AJAX.

AJAX is a technique for creating fast and dynamic web pages.

AJAX allows web pages to be updated asynchronously by exchanging small amounts of data with the server behind the scenes.
This means that it is possible to update parts of a web page, without reloading the whole page.

Classic web pages, (which do not use AJAX) must reload the entire page if the content should change.
Examples of applications using AJAX: Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, and Facebook.

7.Sql

SQL is a standard language for accessing and manipulating databases.

SQL stands for Structured Query Language.
SQL lets you access and manipulate databases
SQL is an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standard

SQL can execute queries against a database
SQL can retrieve data from a database

SQL can insert records in a database
SQL can update records in a database
SQL can delete records from a database
SQL can create new databases
SQL can create new tables in a database
SQL can create stored procedures in a database
SQL can create views in a database
SQL can set permissions on tables, procedures, and views

8.Jquery

jQuery is a lightweight, "write less, do more", JavaScript library.

The purpose of jQuery is to make it much easier to use JavaScript on your website.

jQuery takes a lot of common tasks that require many lines of JavaScript code to accomplish, and wraps them into methods that you can call with a single line of code.

jQuery also simplifies a lot of the complicated things from JavaScript, like AJAX calls and DOM manipulation.

Tip: In addition, jQuery has plugins for almost any task out there.

There are lots of other JavaScript frameworks out there, but jQuery seems to be the most popular, and also the most extendable.

Many of the biggest companies on the Web use jQuery, such as:
Google
Microsoft
IBM
Netflix

9.PHP

PHP is an acronym for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor"

PHP is a widely-used, open source scripting language

PHP scripts are executed on the server.

PHP is free to download and use

PHP is an amazing and popular language!

It is powerful enough to be at the core of the biggest blogging system on the web (WordPress)!

It is deep enough to run the largest social network (Facebook)!

It is also easy enough to be a beginner's first server side language!

What is a PHP File?

PHP files can contain text, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP code.

PHP code are executed on the server, and the result is returned to the browser as plain HTML
PHP files have extension ".php"

What Can PHP Do?

PHP can generate dynamic page content PHP can create, open, read, write, delete, and close files on the server

PHP can collect form data
PHP can send and receive cookies
PHP can add, delete, modify data in your database.
PHP can be used to control user-access
PHP can encrypt data

With PHP you are not limited to output HTML.
You can output images, PDF files, and even Flash movies.

You can also output any text, such as XHTML and XML.

In my next tutorial am going to show you guys resources where you can learn all the above mentioned programming languages.
